When you visit the website. The server that hosts this website may automatically record standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time of each request. This is used to keep the website secure and working.
Through cookies and similar technologies, with your consent. If you accept analytics or marketing cookies, we and our advertising partners collect information about how you use the website: pages visited, time spent, the link or ad that brought you here, actions such as submitting the contact form, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser details. Section 4 explains each tool.

3. How we use it, and our legal basis

- To prepare proposals and deliver services if you become a client. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep the website secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To meet legal obligations, such as accounting and tax records. Legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- To understand how the website is used and improve it (analytics). Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- To measure our advertising and show relevant ads on Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn, including to people who have visited this website. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
We do not sell personal data, and we do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. With your consent, advertising platforms may use data from this website to decide which ads to show you. We will not add you to a mailing list without your consent.
4. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use three kinds:
- Necessary cookies make the website work and remember your cookie choices. They do not require consent.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) show us how visitors find and use the website, so we can improve it. We have configured Google Analytics to keep event data for 14 months.
- Marketing cookies (Google Ads, the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag) measure which ads lead to enquiries and let us show ads to people who have visited this website.
Analytics and marketing cookies are set only after you give consent through the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can accept all, reject all or choose by category, and you can change your choice or withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings on this website. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
We may use Google Tag Manager to load these tools. Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies. Where supported, we use Google Consent Mode, so Google tools adjust their behaviour to the choices you make.
The table below lists each tool, what it is used for and the longest time its cookies are kept. Each provider's linked page lists the individual cookies it sets.
| Tool | Provider | Purpose | Type | Max. duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cookie consent | ArtedMedia | Remembers your cookie choices | Necessary | 12 months |

Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so no data is sent to third-party font services when you visit.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal data only when it is needed for the purposes above, and only with:
- service providers that process data on our behalf, such as website hosting, email and, where used, form-handling or CRM providers, under data processing agreements;
- specialist subcontractors involved in delivering a project you have agreed to, limited to the information they need for that project;
- if you consent to analytics and marketing cookies, Google Ireland Limited, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. For collecting and sending data through the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, we and the provider act as joint controllers; each provider is responsible for how it uses the data afterwards, as described in its own privacy policy: Google, Meta, LinkedIn;
- professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where necessary;
- public authorities, when we are required to by law.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers, including Google, Meta and LinkedIn, may transfer data to the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area. When that happens, we rely on the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or another European Commission adequacy decision, or the Commission's standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a contract: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records: for the duration of the contract, then for as long as Romanian accounting and tax law requires.
- Server logs: for the short periods set by our hosting provider.
- Cookies: up to the maximum durations listed in section 4. Google Analytics event data: 14 months.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict how we use your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent, including through the cookie settings for analytics and marketing cookies.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@artedmedia.com. We will reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Romanian data protection authority, the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), at www.dataprotection.ro.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access to enquiries and client data is limited to the people who need it to do their work.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
